We purchased a very beautiful pineapple green-cheeked conure from Friendly Bird Aviary in May, 2010, and we couldn’t be more pleased with our bird. Rossella was a joy to work with. She was prompt in her replies to our inquiries, and was efficient in every phase of adding a new bird to our family. We were particularly impressed by Rossella’s knowledge about GCC behavior and willingness to guide us in the choice of the right bird for us. All her babies were friendly, healthy, and attractive, but she patiently helped us chose the right match. Rossella takes great pride in the quality of her birds, and it shows. Our Miko is active, playful, cuddly, and of course, full of mischief. Rossella has stayed in touch after the purchase, and is more than willing to provide any advice we need. We are delighted with our new baby bird, but also with the opportunity to meet and become friends with this exceptional breeder. We recommend her highly.

We purchased our green male parrotlet (Buddy) about 7 months ago and have been overwhelmed with how much he can do! The xperience we had from our initial phone conversation with Mrs Rosela, to the meeting with her, showed the authentic love and care she gives all of her birds. She explained in great detail, how to care and what specific foods our new parrotlet would need to be a happy and healthy bird.

Within 3 months Buddy started talking and whistling and is very energetic and loves the whole family. He instantly bonds with any of our friends and is very friendly and excited when we have guests. He loves to be out of his cage and is very well behaved. Some of his favorite foods are brocolli, cheerios (the plain ones) and cauliflower. He enjoys being hand fed and is very happy whenever you come home from work and gives you a few short cheeps when you arrive home.

I would recommend a parrotlet from Mrs Rosela for anyone who wants a well behaved bird that does not make alot of noise. Mrs. Rosela is not your typical breeder, she truly loves each and everyone of her parrotlets, and that is very obvious when you meet her, and is also reflected by how well her parrotlets behave towards others. We love our bird and interact with him daily. He has truly become one of the family.

Hi, Rosela. I just wanted to let you know that the first week with my new baby is just awesome. She has bonded so well to me, is very loving, follows me around. I’m just so happy with her. I took her to painting class with me yesterday and everyone just fawned over her. She’s adorable and I adore her! Oh, and I named her Edna, after my favorite poet, Edna St. Vincent Millay. So Edna is doing wonderfully in her new home.

Let me know when you get your website going and I’ll definitely write a great recommendation for you as a quality breeder. It’s apparent that your nurturing personality contributes to great birdies.

Dear Rossella:
Just a few words of appreciation. Thank you for a very smooth transaction, the parrolets are in excellent health and already getting used to the new habitat. It is obvious that the love and handling used in in their care, made the transition an easy experience for them.

The pineapples are also doing great,They are a bunch of clowns and sure do enjoy watching them while they play with each other.

Your words of advise and recommendations have proven to have been very wise in all respects, and the fact that you are always there if need be, are very important to me. I will not hesitate to recommend you to anybody that wants to have a pet bird or breed them.
Thanks again,

Victor, Miami, FL

Rosela:

I thought I would drop you a line to let you know that I got the DNA testing back and we were right. The lovebird is a boy!

We have named him Rooney. He is so adorable and sweet. You’ve got the perfect name for your aviary. It’s clear that he’s gotten a lot of attention and love with you. He’s extremely friendly and very cuddly. We love him already.

Thank you so much for taking such good care of your babies! If I run across anyone looking for a lovebird or parrotelt, I will definitely let them know about you!

Thank you again!

Hi Rosela,

It was so nice to meet you yesterday and I have to tell you, “Rosie” is the BEST…she came home and when she was in the cage or on top, she would run a little from us but within a few hours she was running to us.  My kids are in love and held her all night.  They insist she be in their bedroom part of the time and in the living room with us the rest of the time.  As much as I wanted the looks of the Parrotlet, this girl is a PERFECT match for us.  If you ever end up with another one with her personality, please let me know.  She is a total doll and we love her already.

Hello Rosela,

I just wanted to update you on my parrotlet who I bought from you in June.  Her name is Sparkles and she is just amazing!  She is very playful and super sweet.  Occasionally she will get in a bratty mood but it never lasts long.  My boyfriend is totally in love with her– I think I got him addicted to parrotlets.  :)  Sparkles loves to take baths all the time, she can hardly be stopped from jumping in any water she sees… if she hears someone in the apartment taking a shower she tries to fly in and join them.

I could go on forever!  I just wanted to tell you that my boyfriend and I absolutely adore her, she is a big part of our lives and we fell really blessed to have her.

Thank you so much for letting me make Sparkles part of my family!

Rosella,

I wanted to give you an update on my Yellow-Sided Green Cheek Conure I purchased from you last year.  He is doing great!  I named him Rico.  He loves attention and is talking now.  He says three things so far. He says “Hi there”,  “You Hungry?”, and “Get your belly.”  He says those three things over and over again.  He likes to play ball.  He has a plastic ball with a bell in it.  He likes to throw it on the ground and have you pick it up and give it back to him so that he can throw it down again.  His favorite things to play with in his cage are toys with bells.  He loves ringing the bells and sticking his face up inside the bell. He is lovable and likes to be held a lot.  I am enjoying him very much. He also likes to take a bath every day.  Thanks for providing me with such a nice bird.

So good to hear from you!  Farley is wooonnnnderful.  I just love him to pieces.  He is a great eater, loves veggies and fruit.  He says “Prickly pear,” makes the sound of the keyboard and washing machine, gives kisses when you lean forward and is trying to say “Monster mash.” He has a playground which I take into the other rooms with me so he can hang out wherever I go.  He also likes to sit on the towel rack when I shower in the morning and when I wash my face at night.  He’s a little love!  Thanks for checking in and for giving me my little birdy boy.
